Very nice XMPP messaging app. Such a pity it appears to have been abandoned. 😢
Lucky it still works pretty well even on the latest MacOS. Although there seems to be a bug with message text formatting and font size being sent to the recipient when it shouldn't.

A shame Adium has been abandoned. Certain interface elements (such as the aqua icons and certain aqua skins) are beautiful. And evoke nostalgia, as time goes by.

Today macupdate sent me an e-mail suggesting ME (!!!!) to instal Adium! macupdate is ever UP TO DATE, isn't it????? :-D

Adium is no longer under active development and has many problem. If you are looking to use xmpp or irc on your mac, using Monal and an irc bridge is the much better option.
